Yeah yeah yeah ... I know it's a freaking Taco Bell, but it was so absolutely horrendous, I had to write. In fact, after we left, the bf mocked me & said: "I'm gonna go home right now & write about this on Yelp!" Does he know me or what? As he waited for our food, they only put half of it on the tray. He asked me what I ordered & I rattled it off quickly. They put down what they thought I said. He brought it to the table. I was missing the chips part of my nachos. Um ... hi? I went back up & got them after having to show them my receipt (why? it's not like they compare it to what i have at my table). I sat back down. I opened my Chalupa Supreme wrapper. The thing was cold. Cold! I mean my lips got frostbite when I bit in! I went back up & told them. They gave me another Chalupa. I opened it up. "Seriously?" I cried. "Are you serious?" The Chalupa was a Chalupa outside with the insides just thrown ON TOP OF IT ... not INSIDE OF IT ... ON TOP OF IT all willy-nilly. I went back up, showed the guy & said, "Seriously. What the hell?" They gave me another one (I made sure I watched them make it ... I've seen Fight Club....). My bf's quesadilla didn't have any cheese. DIDN'T HAVE ANY CHEESE. But it did have beans, which are not part of a CHEESE QUESADILLA. Not once did a Manager speak to us. Not once did anyone apologize. Not once did anyone say anything to me but "May I take your order, please?" & then later, "197! 197! Hello! 197!" Again, I know it's Taco Bell ... but sometimes I need my Chalupa fix. I don't think I ever need worry about going there again.

This location is beyond bad. Tacos had little to no meat in them, a few shreds of cheese and a little lettuce. Tacos were completely flat. I really have never had a good experience here.

I am only reviewing this specific Taco Bell location. While the food is the same as the other Taco Bells, this place has the nicest and cleanest interiors I have seen for a Taco Bell. Other locations I have been to generally look as bland and dirty as a post office. On top of it, the staff at this location is genuinely nice and respectful. There are closer Taco Bells, but if I have a craving for "The Bell", I will go out of my way to eat at this one.

What can I say, it's a typical Taco Bell. But I just love their cheesy fiesta potatoes. There's just something with this Taco Bell that I like. Maybe because they remodeled it, and everything looks nice & new. Yeah...that would be the reason.. They have gotten my order right every time... =D They also have friendly staff..

EAT AT YOUR OWN RISK. Went here with my wife on 9/4/12. Needless to say we DID NOT eat here. Sorry "Max C." but the interior of this Taco Bell has to be the nastiest I've ever seen, in fact I'd go so far as to say it was the worst of any fast food place I've ever been in. Every surface in the place, especially the front counter was sticky and dirty. While the interior was recently redone the management sure has let it go down the drain. Under the counter was food scraps that obviously had not been swept up for quite some time. The employees themselves looked dirty. In fact the "last straw" was when I observed a male employee come out of the washroom, then empty the garbage can and change the bag and then go DIRECTLY behind the counter taking orders and touching food.....gross! All in all, it was one of the scariest fast food experiences I've ever had. You can tell when something hasn't been cleaned forever, this was not just a case of a busy day. I filled out a complaint on Corp website but of course never heard back.....

I have purchased food many many times but the service and the quality of food has really turned down hill.I ordered an order on Nachos Supreme and all I got were chips, small portion of beans and a pinch of meat and cheese.I complained and they added extra cheese and meat.I also have noticed that the size of tacos and other items have really shrunk in size BUT not price.

If the app will let me write a review with no stars, I would. This particular location of Taco Bell in 75th Downers Grove is plain awful! While the outside of the building may look updated, inside, the food and service, just PLAIN HORRIBLE. Little to no meat and cheese in the quesadillas. We ended up sending food back and them giving us half of the order back. Cashier "Jasmine" just beyond BORED and RUDE! Higher ups, please take note, the one bad apple will spoil the whole bushel! AWFUL! Told my boys, this is the last time we are going to this particular Taco Bell.

Went to this Taco Bell at roughly 9 PM on a Monday. I had placed a simple order, 2 soft shell tacos and nachos with cheese. They gave me the wrong total at the drive through originally. They then proceeded to attempt to short change me 5 cents, and I had to explain to them that a $4.95 order paid for with $20 should yield $15.05 change. Took about a minute for them to understand what I was saying. As for the food; tacos are what you expect from here, nothing special. The nachos however were severely disappointing. The little paper bag they come in was half filled at best, equalling 5-6 full chips. This issue is why I am writing this review.

Manager is angry at the world!! Screams at employees everytime I'm in there.. Also always seem to miss something u order everytime. This time they messed a order up the greasy looking kid with the 5 point star on his arm starting mouthing off and starting spitting profanity under his breath.. Wouldn't recommend. This place to no one

THIS PLACE SUCKS I just ordered 2 tacos with just cheese, no tomatoes and no lettuce. I get home, and they just put cheese on the taco shell. Nothing else... not even meat. And these fast food workers want to get paid more, but they can't even get a simple order correct. Jeez, I advise people, don't go to this Taco Bell. I see they're hiring new people but that still probably won't help this shithole out.

** I wouldn't bother going here unless you enjoy a headache.** The food is what it is, it's Taco Bell and we all know what to expect. What makes this location the absolute WORST in my opinion is the fact that every time I visit here they get my order wrong. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt but after 5 times in a row I'm just finished! It doesn't matter if it's the lobby or the drive-thru they are too busy playing around to make the orders right. I would like to point out that I didn't order anything special or different. They cant make the food the way that their menu specifies. They miss items in the combo meals, miss ingredients in the menu items... There is a serious lack of customer service as well. When you approach the counter to ask them to address the issue ,you have to flag someone down in order to get service. The employees will look at you standing at the counter and then just walk the other way or continue their personal conversation treating the customer as an inconvenience to their socializing. This is a result of the poor example that the management is setting. I have gotten the best service at this location from the minimum wage employees that take your order. More times than not they are the ones apologizing for their co-workers and management. If this is the level of attention that they are supplying to us the customer and how little they care for their job then I am afraid to think of how much attention to detail they have when completing the cleaning and sanitation aspects of their job. I will never waste my time or money going here again.

Ordered a burrito supreme with extra beef from the drive through. Lettuce wasn't close to fresh and got charged for the extra beef I didn't get. The beef was barley warm.. Could have stuck it in the microwave for a few seconds like any other fast food place. Smh. Not the first second or third time this has happened. Done coming back here.

Worst taco bell ever. I've been in the drive thru line for 10 minutes and I'm still 3 cars from getting my food. Kill me now!!

I love this Taco Bell, and I've been coming to this location for over 10 years. The staff is changing from time to time, but I still receive friendly service, and my meals are made to order. I wish this taco didn't have such low of a rating because I know they've been stepping up their service. Even after 11:00pm my food comes out fast, and correct. Can't ask for much more when you're going to Taco Bell.

I go to Taco Bell religiously, and this one is great. There's only one that has given me mouth diarrhea, and it's in Westchester so avoid that one. This one makes their burritos big and their food delicious. Loyal customers see benefits from management and the employees are really cool. Shout out to J.R., Jailon, and Tom.

This Taco Bell charged me $6 for three tacos with cheese/lettuce/tomato. No meat. No beans. Cheese/lettuce/tomato. $6. Do I even need to write any more in my review?

I got a taco from here the other day that had about a table spoon of meat in it, (well what they call meat) , Taco bell has lost me for good.

About Taco Bell

Taco Bell is a haven for Mexican delicacies such as tacos, quesadillas, burritos, nachos, and other specialty items. Owned by Yum! Brands, Inc. Taco Bell is one of the fastest growing American chains of fast food restaurants. The restaurant operates from 7,072 different locations which are mostly run by independent franchisees and licensees.

The background story of Taco Bell is interesting and inspiring for budding entrepreneurs. The fast-food brand is the brainchild of Glen Bell, who started his first food venture as a hot dog seller in San Bernardino, California. The year was 1948. After witnessing long queues outside a Mexican restaurant called Mitla Café across the street, Bell saw the opportunity and demand for hard-shelled Tacos. He reverse-engineered the recipe and later started selling Tacos and called the venture Taco-Tia.

Later, the name changed from Taco-Tia to El Taco. Eventually, Glen Bell sold the company to his partner and opened the first Taco Bell in Downey in 1962. By 1964, the restaurant also got its first franchise in Torrance. The 100th Taco Bell restaurant was opened by 1965. PepsiCo acquired Taco Bell from Glen Bell in 1978 and the restaurant brand is currently a subsidiary of Yum! Brands which looks after the restaurant business of PepsiCo.

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque.
